Day 8 - 7.5lb LOSS!!!

Whoop whoop!!! Lost 7.5lb at weigh in. Chuffed to bits all that hard work was worth it. So I picked my selection of shakes/bars/soups for the rest of the week (no porridges for me they are rank) and went to the pub to treat myself to a big fat steak and salad! :-)

I got to the Royal Oak in Brandon - fyi they are doing 2-4-1 Mon-Thurs eve in Jan. Amazing Food!! and ordered big fat steak with salad no dressing, extra mushrooms and mushroom sauce. I love mushrooms one of my favourite things. It was absolutely gorgeous and cooked perfectly except I didnt enjoy it as much as I thought. Had a good think about this and I think that I didnt enjoy it as much as I was expecting to because I was cheating. I didnt really NEED to have it. That was a good lesson to learn as I know now that I dont NEED to have a treat after every weigh in. (This certainly will slow down the weight loss!)

So yes, I am back on track this morning. Feeling positive and ready to face the week ahead. Hopefully the concentration levels improve this week (literally cant think after about 3pm at the moment!). I know the weight loss wont be as much next week as its always more on the first week but I will be happy with 3lbs - ish.

Oh and one more thing.... Why is it when she took my measurements I lost 2" off the boobs but nothing off the tum?!?!?! Muchos annoying that the boobs will go first!!! :-)

Day 7 - 1 Week Down :-) 10 to go :-(

So the dreaded day has arrived and I have my first weigh in tonight. Last couple of days havent been too bad really. The hunger pains are gone and I am not feeling physically hungry but I just want to eat something. I just want to be able to taste food again, its quite a weird feeling really.

I do feel that I am getting into the swing of things a bit though and have managed to get a routine going. As I never normally eat breakfast on a work day I am havin my first shake between 12 - 1. I then take a bar with me and have that at around 4.30ish and then my final shake in the evening at about 9ish. This routine is working quite well I think. And obviously loads of water.

So first weigh in tonight fingers crossed the scales show all my hard work. As long as I get a good loss I am treating myself to some food tonight as its the only thing that got me through this week knowing I can eat something at the end of it. So yes... looking forward to a big fat steak with salad!!! :-) yum yum yum!!

Day 4 - Craving Cherry Tomatoes!!!

Right, so I am now on day 4 of the Cambridge Diet. I had tried to blog on Day 2 and Day 3 but I was not in a good mental state that I would probably have ranted on for pages and pages.

Day 2 - Possibly the hardest day so far. Ketosis hasnt kicked in yet (Ketosis is apparently when your body has nothing left to use for energy apart from your fat cells. When you are in Ketosis it is an appetite suppresent so until then you are STARVING!! Takes 2-3 days to be in Ketosis) Almost unbearable when Mark was eating Sausage Chips and Beans. I hate beans but was so hungry at that point I would have eaten anything. Anyway persevered and got through it by drinking lots and lots of water and hiding up stairs until he finished.
Lesson of the Day - Cambridge Diet Porridges are Vile and I mean really really Vile

Day 3 - Time to keep very busy! I am a boredam eater anyway so sitting at home was not going to be helpful so decided to go food shooping with my sister and neice. Probably not the best idea in hindsight but was kept busy entertaining my neice that I didnt find the massive temptations too tempting. Finished the evening by going to a shindig with my sister at her work. I was driving obviously... which was a new experience in itself. Staying at a party all night SOBER?!?!? I also checked with my consultant and found out I could have a Diet Coke every now and again so enjoyed that immensely. Generally hungry yesterday but discovered my 2 fave Cambridge Diet Products - Cranberry Bars & Choc Orange Milkshake - yum yum!!!!

Day 4 - Back to work. Hopefully keeping busy will make things a little easier!! So far so good. Think I may be in Ketosis now as the hunger pains (not pangs literally pains!!) are not reering their ugly heads. I even managed to enjoy my shake in the canteen whilst others were eating food. I say enjoy.....

So to sum up, the first couple of days were very very tough! But I got through them and things are slowly becoming easier. Dont get me wrong there is nothing I want more at this moment than a big fat steak, chips, onion rings with mushroom sauce but the focus is there!!

For some reason though since I started the Cambridge Diet I have been craving Cherry Tomatoes - I hope you enjoyed them at lunch today Lyds! :-)

So far.... So Good xxx

Day 1 - Weigh In and Bleeeuuuggghh

Right... hi... My name is kristy and this is my very first attempt at bloggibg and posting so please do bear with me. You may or may not know but I am getting married on 24th March to my gorgeous fiance Mr Mark Kenney. So with the lead up to the most amazing day of my life I have decided to shed a few of the extra pounds (or stones) by joining The Cambridge Diet.

I am an avid supporter of Slimming World previously losing 3 stone in just over a year. However, I dont have 1 year I have 11 weeks!!! I have a friend who lost a lot of weight rather wuickly through the Cambridge Diet so I have decided to give it a go. Last night was my first meeting with my consultant so made sure I crammed lots of last mibute treats which includes ready salted crisps, biscuit and raisin yorkie (It is for bloody girls) chippy fish and chips and chips and gravy. Actually making me starving just thinking about it.

So I walked in and was greeted by my consultant angela who sat me down and explained it to me what the diet entails... basically NO FOOD!!! I have to live on 3 cambridge products a day and this is a choice of porridge/soups/shakes/bars. And SHIT LOADS of water. She weighed me and told me I wss fat. This was obviously a shock to the syatem cuz I walked in her room thinkibg I was 9 stone!!! Anyway I selected what products I wanted and £42.30 later I left with the knowledge that I was allowed one last meal and was to start a fresh the next day.

So today is day one... woke up feeling quite enthusiastic and pumped. I had decided that I was going to have one product at work one when I get home and then maybe one of the bars with a cip of tea before bed. Went to work full of enthusiasm and drank 2 of my 3 litres of water before 9.30. Unfortunately I then came over all funny and was ill a few times so went home to recover. It got to about 11.30 and I was absolutely starving so made up a porridge and I can honestly say... it was... VILE!!! Had to try and get it down by swigging water at the same time. Not a great start. Its now 12.50 and I am starving again. I know its goibg to be tough but Im nowhere near cracking just yet. So wish me luck and Ill keep you updated.....
